The genitourinary tract is populated by numerous different species of microorganisms. Probiotic bacteria such as Lactobacillus and
Bifidobacterium species are normally found in the vaginal microbiota and are important to maintaining vaginal and urinary tract health.
However, the normal vaginal microbiota can be disrupted, which can affect the delicate balance of beneficial microorganisms. Ther-Biotic®

Ther-Biotic® Women’s Formula delivers large amounts of specific probiotics to
support vaginal microbiota balance and regulate against disturbances. The 10 species in this formulation provide broad coverage to
encourage a healthy balance of microbiota across the genitourinary tract and create favorable conditions for dominance of normal,
beneficial vaginal microorganisms.†
• Supports a healthy acidic vaginal pH:† An acidic vaginal pH supports the growth of healthful bacteria normally found in the
genitourinary tract. Menstruation, pregnancy, oral contraceptive use, menopause, and diabetes are some of the factors that can affect
the normally acidic vaginal pH. Lactobacillus species are well-recognized to promote an acidic vaginal pH by producing lactic acid.
The presence of lactic acid lowers pH (making it more acidic), which helps maintain optimal balance of microbiota in the vagina. When
Lactobacillus species become less dominant, a change to more alkaline (less acidic) conditions in the vaginal pH occurs, microbial
balance can shift, and occasional vaginal itching, discomfort, or discharge may occur. Seven Lactobacillus species normally predominant
in the vaginal microbiota are included to support vaginal comfort, healthy colonization, and production of lactic acid which helps
maintain vaginal pH in a healthy acid range.†
